Colorado Craft Still Fights Coronavirus With Open Businesses

This still sucks badly.
Just to review, in response to COVID-19 health concerns, effective 8am March 17, bars and restaurants throughout Colorado were prohibited from serving dine-in or inside customers. Many places closed completely. That March 17 was to expire on April 15, but was extended into May. Thousands of employees statewide continue to be out of work.
We already knew that liquor stores were "essential businesses", but the State made it official. During these trying times, they were granted permission to remain open. Thank You Governor Polis! If there's no toilet paper, at least we can find alcohol. Stores were also granted permission to perform limited delivery operations to homebound customers. Retail liquor store owners don't often say this, but "Good job, Colorado Department of Revenue!"
Although bars and restaurants are prohibited from serving sit-down customers until some-uncertain future time, many are offering curbside and to-go options. DOR also adjusted rules and procedures for beer, wine and spirit manufacturers, and many craft producers are now doing home delivery as well.
Selling growlers in the parking lot and delivering a case of six-packs will not sustain these businesses very long. A brewery that typically employed 15 people is now maybe hiring two. Keg sales that provided 60% of income are gone for now. One recent survey by the Brewers Association foretold that if the current situation continues for three more months, half of the beer makers in the US would be gone.
Fuck. What can we do? We're supposed to be social distancing, staying at home. But on those necessary trips to buy groceries, get prescriptions or visit doctors, we can venture a little farther. Visit Your Local Beer, Wine & Spirit maker! Call ahead, order your libations and food to-go, and spend a little money. Or call them for delivery straight to you. Delivery options may be available for a limited time, so take advantage of having crowlers dropped off at your door while you can.
