Manitou Springs Heritage Brew Festival
Ever since the Craft Lager Fest was washed out - literally, during heavy rains, flooding and closure of Memorial Park just before the event two years ago - Manitou Springs has been fest-less.

The drought is over. New, and not the lager-focused event as before, the Manitou Springs Heritage Brew Festival will offer thirsty locals and visitors from afar tastings from 25 Colorado breweries.

1-5 pm, Saturday October 3, at Memorial Park. The "heritage" part refers to the Manitou Springs Heritage Center, located right across the street. According to them, "proceeds will go to operational expenses and the Building Purchase Fund of this nonprofit, all-volunteer and donation supported museum."

Not a bad reason to drink beer and listen to tunes on a nice autumn day.
